  8. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  10.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  11.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  12.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  13.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  14.  
  15.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  16.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  17.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  18.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  19.   Many, like ARK ANGLES, also give added benefits to users who register.

  22. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  24.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  25.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  26.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  27.   or cease to use it.

  29.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  30.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  31.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  34. WHY REGISTER?
  35.  
  36.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  37.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  38.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  39.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  41.    o  a copy of the latest version of the program, plus
  42.    o  a printed manual, plus
  43.    o  a bonus program, plus
  44.    o  12 months support direct from the author, plus
  45.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  46.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  49. PRICING

  51.   Single Registration is A$20 or US$18, shipped to anywhere in the world.
  52.   This gives a license for use of the program by one user or on one machine,
  53.   and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special licensing
  54.   arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere there are
  55.   multiple machines or users at the one site.

  57.   Significant updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the
  58.   latest version are available from ARK ANGLES for just a shipping charge
  59.   of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  64. HOW TO REGISTER
  65.  
  66.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  67.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  68.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or Postal/Money Orders.  Credit cards will
  69.   always be billed by us in $A so you get the latest and best exchange rate.
  70.   Although we prefer any cash or cheques or drafts etc to be in $A or $US, we
  71.   will accept them in any major currency - please calculate the equivalent
  72.   amount in your own currency from the published $US price.

  74.   There are four easy ways to register:

  76.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  77.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  78.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for overseas customers, and leave your
  79.      ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  81.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  82.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  83.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there,
  84.      then fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638
  85.      for overseas customers.

  87.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  Include your credit card
  88.      details or a cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot to
  89.      ARK ANGLES at 24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.

  91.   4. COMPUSERVE:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  92.      card information, and send it to CompuServe Id 100237,141.

  106.   Support is given to unregistered users during the 60 day trial period, and
  107.   to registered users for 12 months.  This includes direct access to the
  108.   author and/or distributor by mail, phone and fax, plus notification of any
  109.   fixes and new releases.

  111.   Feedback about all our programs is always appreciated.  The first registered
  112.   user to suggest a new function or other improvement will, if the suggestion
  113.   is adopted, receive a free upgrade to the first version that includes that
  114.   function, in addition to any other upgrades they are entitled to.

  139.   related printed matter to be free of significant defects in materials and
  140.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  141.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  142.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  144.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  145.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  146.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  147.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  149.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or the author is restricted
  150.   to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of the physical
  151.   disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade to the latest
